Thanks, Tom! It’s great to take a detour from the band’s catalog every now and then to touch on a solo work.

Such a great cover – people laugh at me when I tell them it’s better than the original. I don’t care – it is!! It’s like a Genesis cover version!

Anticipation is half the fun (or so I’ve been told). 🙂 From the albums we’ve chosen so far, it’s not hard to tell that we’re saving the biggies for last.

While I love most of this album and really felt a pull to vote for “Behind the Lines”, “In the Air Tonight” is really the track that grabbed me then and still grabs me now.

Also, nice to see that someone else is looking forward to a future “A Trick of the Tail” episode!

Was thinking this weekend that a Genesis mondegreens episode would be fun too…

    “Darth Vader, agitator” — Dodo/Lurker
“Busy Ball Touch” — Invisible Touch
“That weird au pair, still sitting there” — For Absent Friends
    and so on…

We’re looking forward to the Trick show as well! And, it will even include a mondegreen of my own that has given the group much amusement! – Tom

Thanks, John! We just recorded ATTWT, so look for that hopefully next month. But … chances are good that there will be a release before the end of February …

The easy choice is In the Air Tonight but for me the sound of Hand in Hand defined what Phil’s solo career sound was all about. Love this rerelease.

Guess I didn’t pay much attention to the fact that Roof Is Leaking, Droned, and Hand in Hand are three separate songs… They just flow so well together. As much as I like Phil’s voice, I had to vote for his percussion skills on Hand in Hand. Tomorrow Never Knows is amazing, too.

    * Anyone else headed to The Musical Box show in Philly on March 5th? *

May I suggest these polls become duo-polls? give the list twice, so we can also pick the “second most liked song”, or “underrated song”, or any other some such. Just the “best” will always leave many too many songs on the shoreline (sorry)
