Enjoyed the podcast guys, thanks again. It’s great to see all the positive press reviews coming in now. The band is putting on a seriously impressive professional show by all accounts.
As the Irish dates have been postponed I’ve made a spur of the moment decision and managed to get a ticket for Glasgow on Oct 8th. A short hop for me; I can’t wait to see the show!

Why are tickets so expensive? It seems very unfair to charge us long term fans so much money. We’ve paid our dues over the years. It’s the only downside for me tbh 🙁
Anyway, let’s keep enjoying all this band activity. It’s great!

Sorry about the Glasgow show – was that the one that got postponed due to the positive COVID tests?
Funny, if the episode about the tour was recorded closer to ticket buying, you definitely would have heard me griping about the prices! Unacceptable, if you ask me. Granted, sometimes the band hands off all the ticketing services to outside agencies and doesn’t really have a say (or even may be aware of) things like dynamic pricing – but still, I have to think the band would have SOME say in how they want to treat their long-term fans (the ones paying to see them now). These tickets were higher than anything I’ve seen by comparable bands and big-name tours – even Roger Waters, Rage Against the Machine – for the same venues. Oh well, not much use in complaining now. 😉

Yes, I got stung badly with the Glasgow show. Had flown over early that morning and was literally about to leave the hotel to head to the venue at about 4 pm when a message came through from a fellow fan that the show had been postponed (now cancelled). I couldn’t believe it. If I’d only booked the night before I would’ve seen them…very disappointing.
There seemed to be a lot of Genesis fans wandering around Glasgow at a loss that night.
I felt sorry for people who had travelled further than me, mainland Europe, etc. It was sooo last-minute.
After missing out on Dublin, Belfast and now Glasgow I had decided that I just wasn’t going to catch the band at all in this tour but I’ve just recently listened to your two newest podcasts (48 & 49) and I think you guys have convinced me to keep trying. Your reviews have been so positive that I may just try for one of the London gigs. I think I’ll be kicking myself if miss this very-likely final tour. I know it’s late but more tickets might free up as the gig approaches. A friend has already booked the Thurs night.
Keep us posted on any potential London meet-ups in case I do get over!

Just a quick update to my comments above…
I got to see the 2nd show in Amsterdam this week (at last!), after 3 attempts – Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow. I wasn’t giving up! It was amazing – worth the wait and worth every penny!
Me and an old schoolmate have been fans since (only!) ’92 when WCD came out. We had a fantastic night and a great 2 days in Amsterdam. Enjoyed every minute and didn’t want it to end. The band were on fire, Phil sang great, voice was really strong. He gave it everything.
After waiting for 2 years it was a great way to come out of lockdown with a bang!
London should be something else!
