I listen to the podcasts, dreaming of the day I’d be able to give my opinion. Now that you’re asking, I can’t decide! Do I choose my true favorite, but get lumped into the “ah, everyone chose that song” category, or do I branch out and choose another, less popular song?
Against my better judgment, I’m picking “Sledgehammer”. If I’m being honest, it’s always been my fave, although I have a soft spot for “We Do What We’re Told”.
That was hard to choose. Nothing outstanding. Very even. I quite like that album, especially since it reminds me my student time, but it’s the whole album that is the experience, not one song.
My sister had gotten me a pin from the 1987 tour, it was the little creature from the “Big Time” video. Lost it a while back. But the video and track always stuck with me.
Hard to pick a favorite. It’s simply one of the greatest albums ever. The musicianship is superb. The production is stellar. Mercy Street and Don’t Give Up are two of the greatest headphone songs ever. The singles were some of the best written, composed and arranged singles ever. I love, love, LOVE That Voice Again and nearly voted for it, but in the end I had to go with Red Rain.
I appreciate this album differently after listening to Marotta’s interview. But still, That Voice Again gets my voice, for being classic PG, dramatic and dynamic.
Thank you guys for the great job. Undoubtedly MS is my favorite song of the great so ..followed very closely by red rain. Best regards and have a great 2018
This is another example of why I think the polling here would be a lot better if done as a ranking of the tracks. That should include, IMHO, the ability to give equal weight to multiple tracks. With So, I can’t honestly pick just one though I did just for this poll. Tomorrow, my choice would be different. I can think of at least three on here that are on par with the idea of “favorite track.” I know, I know… “First World problems”!
Once more, I request that these polls be changed to allow 2 selections.
“Favorite song” depends so much on one’s current mood, the time of day one is listening, etc.
This CD has both outstanding quiet songs and outstanding upbeat songs…how can we choose just one?
Red Rain followed by Milgram’s 37.

Mercy Street
Probably his most overrated album. However this was the one which made him popular for the masses
Love the show

This is a tricky one, a real masterpiece, could have selected any one.
Don’t give Up – One of my fave PG tracks
Great
Any uptempo playlist on my listening device that includes a Gabriel track ALWAYS includes that song. 😉
